Souped up cars

What’s so great about Fast & Furious?
That moment when Dominic Toretto hits the NOS and his car shoots ahead to win the race has captured the imagination of a generation.

So when Universal asked us to promote the eighth film, we decided to recreate this feeling for petrol heads and pedestrians alike.
And to check out their NOS faces.

Tricked out tech

To mimic the effects of G-force on the features, we built a fully integrated event pod including a green screen and 170MPH air jets, taking blockbuster film production values to whole new level

Mean greenscreen machine

The built-in iPhone camera captured each participant’s reactions and sent their content into the cloud via our custom apps.

There, our bespoke post-production process edited and graded it into their own personalised Fast8 trailer.

40,300 fans from Berlin to Bogota, Johannesburg to Jakarta went from 0-160 MPH in 6 seconds. Their personalised trailer pinged into their inbox in 10 minutes

In a blaze of glory

The internet went nuts with 10,000s of shares and 1,000,000s of views. Comments contained disbelief that their friends were in the movie trailer.

And Stellar picked up a silver in the Davey's Online Film/Video-Live Events category!
